It's been over ten years since O'Reilly published Damian Conway's "Perl Best Practices". Some of these practices are excellent ideas and should be followed. Some are just plain bad ideas. Some may have been good ideas at the time, but Perl has changed and so are no longer valid. We'll talk about these bad ideas and why they are bad. We'll also talk about Perl Critic which auto-enforces some of these practices. This should be a lively discussion and may be controversial.
